About Keystone Detail

Keystone Detail began in 2018 — the year our founder, Cody Brace, decided the expected path of college and student loans was not his, and set out to build something of his own instead. What started as Brace Automotive Specialties, one man’s name on one man’s work, has grown into something far larger than any single person. As our craft sharpened and our clientele grew, we evolved the brand to match the level of work we deliver. The name Keystone Detail is a tribute to home: Pennsylvania, the Keystone State — a place that will always hold a piece of us, and, we suspect, of you.

Today, we are the area’s vehicle protection studio — ceramic coating, paint protection film, window tinting, paint correction, and detailing, delivered by trained technicians to one exacting standard, every time.

The experience is the difference.

Plenty of shops do good work — we know, because we’ve worked alongside them and studied our field closely. What most of them overlook is the client care and experience. We built Keystone Detail around it: a Disneyland-caliber experience for every client, whatever brought them through our doors. Ceramic coating, paint correction, PPF, window tinting — the result on the vehicle is only half of it. Every moment leading up to that result matters just as much. We take immense pride in both.

Who we serve.

We serve anyone who wants more from their vehicle. Whether you’re protecting a daily driver or elevating something extraordinary, we’re here to enhance the finish, guard it against the road, and make owning your vehicle better every single day.

Where we’re headed.

We’re building the one-stop shop for our industry — a trusted household name in our community. We have no interest in franchising or spreading ourselves across multiple locations. We’d rather perfect one: a single place that delivers at the same exceptional level, every single time.

Meet Cody Brace

Owner

It started at fifteen, with a first car and a determination to keep it flawless — no experience, no training, just the will to learn. Nearly fifteen years later, that will has become deep, hands-on expertise across every corner of the craft. What matters more to Cody than what he can do himself is what he can pass on: he now trains a team to protect and install to the Keystone standard. Before founding the shop, he spent years in construction, and the restaurant industry doing a little of a lot — range that still shapes how he approaches every finish.

Today, Cody is Keystone Detail’s lead PPF installer — but ask him what drives him now, and the answer has shifted over the years. In the beginning, it was about doing the best work he possibly could for every client. Now it’s less about him and more about the team: making sure the great people around him meet the same standard and clear the same bar, so every client gets the same experience whether Cody is in the Studio that day or not. Watching his technicians master skills they never had and take on work they never imagined — that’s the payoff. That shift is what carried Keystone Detail to where it is today, and without the team, none of them would get to do the work they love every single day.

Outside Keystone Detail, Cody is a devoted husband to his wife, Abby; the two have known each other nearly thirteen years. When he’s off the clock, you’ll find him on a mountain bike, out on the water, or chasing the next rush — extreme sports are a way of life.

Justin Meyers

Technician

Justin has been with Keystone Detail for 14 weeks and in the industry for a year, specializing in interior and exterior detailing — with certifications on the way. What he loves is the transformation: hand him a vehicle so far gone you can’t see the carpet, and he’ll draw out the dirt, fur, salt, and every other bit of grime to reveal what was hiding underneath, watching it happen in real time. Off the clock, he’s always chasing a new skill — from brakes and rotors to gutting a building down to the studs and building it back up. There’s always more to learn, and he’s happy to lend a hand wherever he can.

Isaac Melnick

Lead Window Tinter, Shop Lead

Isaac has been with Keystone Detail for over a year, and this is his first introduction to the industry. Window tinting is his specialty today — he’s a Certified Technician, certified in window tint — but he takes just as much pride in everything else we do, and paint correction is one of his favorites. His standard is simple: make sure every vehicle meets the bar we hold, and blow people’s minds in the process. Outside the Studio, he credits his girlfriend, Cambria, with keeping him himself — the two are perfectly in sync.

Marcus Maynes

Sales & Customer Success

Marcus has been with Keystone Detail — and in the industry professionally — for over a year, leading Sales and Customer Success. He holds his Level 1 Technician certification in paint correction and ceramic coatings. What he enjoys most is the customer’s reaction the moment they see what the team achieved on their vehicle. Marcus has a deep love and appreciation for automotive culture — catch up with him at a car show or cruise-in — and when he’s not at the Studio, he stays busy with home projects and mi familia.
