How We Gave Danielle's GMC Yukon AT4 a Look Nobody Else in Erie Has
How We Gave Danielle's GMC Yukon AT4 a Look Nobody Else in Erie Has
Keystone Detail · May 2026
Danielle came to us with a problem a lot of truck and SUV owners can relate to — she loved her Yukon AT4, but every time she pulled into a parking lot, there were three more that looked exactly like it. Same color, same trim, same everything. She didn't buy a vehicle like that to blend in.
Her ask was simple: make it different. Make it hers. So we did.
The Tuxedo Wrap
A tuxedo wrap is one of the cleanest ways to change the look of a vehicle without committing to a full color change. The idea is contrast — you're blacking out key areas of the exterior to create a two-tone effect that looks factory-custom, but isn't something you'll see rolling off the lot.
For Danielle's Yukon, that meant black paint protection film across the entire roof and black vinyl on all the pillars. The result is a truck that still carries its original color but has an entirely different presence on the road. It's subtle enough to look intentional and bold enough that you notice it immediately.
What Went Into It
This wasn't a quick job. A full tuxedo wrap on a vehicle this size requires precise measurements, clean edges, and materials that are going to hold up through Erie winters and everything that comes with them — salt, ice, temperature swings, the works.
We used black PPF on the roof for a reason. PPF isn't just cosmetic — it's protection. That roof is going to take hits from tree sap, bird droppings, UV exposure, and road debris for years. The film handles all of it while keeping that deep black finish looking fresh. On the pillars, vinyl was the right call — it delivers the same blacked-out look in areas that don't take the same level of abuse.
Every panel was prepped, cleaned, and fitted by hand here at our Waterford, PA shop. No shortcuts, no rushing it.
The Details
This is the kind of project we love because it sits right at the intersection of protection and style. Danielle didn't just want her Yukon to look different — she wanted it to stay that way. The PPF on the roof carries a warranty and is built to last. The vinyl on the pillars gives her the aesthetic she wanted without any permanent changes to the vehicle's paint.
If she ever decides to sell or trade in, everything comes off cleanly with the factory paint untouched underneath. That's the beauty of film and vinyl — you get the custom look without the commitment of a paint job.
Make Your Vehicle Yours
Whether it's a tuxedo wrap, a full-body PPF installation , ceramic coating , window tinting , or a combination of everything — the goal is always the same. We want your vehicle to look and feel like it's yours, and we want it protected so it stays that way.
If you've been thinking about doing something to set your ride apart, reach out to us. We'll walk through your options and make sure whatever we do is built to last — not just built to look good on day one.
Danielle's Yukon is proof that you don't need a full color change to completely transform how a vehicle looks. Sometimes the right accents in the right places are all it takes.
